December 3, was the UN International Disability Awareness Day promoting the awareness of the rights of individuals with Disabilities.
We spent the day at one of our clients, engaging with a key stakeholder group on Disability Sensitisation and Awareness on key disability landscape barriers and enablers, dealing with recruitment fears, building confidence, and facilitating disclosure in the workplace globally benchmarked with USBLN and MIT Sloan.
What an inspiring day, and satisfying to work with like-minded clients on International Disability Day. Thank you to their CEO who opened up the day, sharing their vision, displaying real commitment and focus on disability in their workplace.
As an individual personally and professionally affected by disability, a cause close to my personal and professional heart, and mission-driven purpose, to witness the transformation of the workplace for people with disabilities, whether through Standing Tall Recruitment and Advisory or our like-minded partners or collaborators, is immensely gratifying to be part of these milestones.
Our objectives include Advocacy and Advisory, enabled with key building blocks of disability recruitment at all job levels and types, with deep and broad change facilitation, accredited training and program support and design.
I have been privileged through Standing Tall to be invited to the review and give input to the attached Toolkit and Monitoring Framework, as well as the final presentation and handover to the representative of the Minister of Labour last week Friday. A milestone in the Disability Landscape to assist the private sector.
