TSiBA’s work is grounded in supporting and cementing the path towards positive social change. We continue to work towards building the structures that will support our young talent and future leaders of this country. It is bittersweet that the barometer of our success in these areas is often only measured in challenging times like the recent storms and fires in the Western Cape where the TSiBA community rallied together. Stronger as a united force.
I have been particularly impressed again this year with the exponential ripple effect of social change effected through our volunteer lecturers, tutors and mentors. Every month a number of people and organisations reach out with an offer to volunteer at TSiBA to lecture, tutor, mentor or consult. We also have pro-bono consultants like the top global strategic consultants from BCG who are working with TSiBA to secure our cutting-edge sustainability plan.
I am privileged to have met and befriended so many of our volunteers over the years - and the stories they tell are extremely inspiring – every time! Just last week I overheard two volunteers chatting, getting to know each other, and sharing stories of their lives, what drew them to TSiBA, what their views are of their classes, the students, the curricula, the questions, the answers, the awarenesses, the learnings, the “aha’s” and of course, ultimately, the joys of co-building a robust, diverse country of active, informed citizens.

I sign out grateful that I can be part of an amazing journey with you all in a country where significant social transformation is growing and getting stronger day to day.
