The The following workshops will be presented:
Professional job seeking skills (learn more about CV writing, interview skills, what companies are looking for, networking, etc.)
Basic office admin skills (learn about the role of the receptionist, telephone etiquette, receiving clients, stock control, managing diaries, minute taking, organising events, etc.)
Personal development and leadership (learn about developing vision, building on strengths. Self-awareness, uncovering your purpose, balancing your life, expand your influence, how to make others eat out of your hands and more!)
Effective money management (learn more about effective budgeting, making and saving money, rules about the use of money, how banks operate, your credit profile, debt management and more!)
Customer relations (learn more about the 4 stages of client relationship building, the 7/11 rule, the trust building process, vital verbals, how to recruit clients for life and more!
The workshops are free for the unemployed but employed people and those referred by funded NPOs pay R65 per workshop to cover costs.
The facilitator will be Frank Julie who is the executive director of YP@W who has a Masters in Adult Education and Shirley de Jongh, operations manager at YP@W.
Participants will also be assisted with their CVs and get a free email and Facebook account as well be signed up on the employment referral database of YP@W. Various partners who offer free training and placement opportunities will also attend.
Certificates will be issued.
